Blank cartridges are used with e-liquid. They initially contain no liquid. Just the cartridge, a rubber cap, the cup inside the cartridge that holds the e-liquid, and the filling inside the cup that helps feed the e-liquid to the atomizer. Simply fill or top off the blank cartridge with your favorite e-liquid and puff away. Or fill the cartridge, replace the rubber cap and save for later or as a spare when you are out and about. These blanks are colored black to match the black starter kits. However they will fit any model M-401.
